Internet Marketing

Internet marketing includes the following:

Organic Search Marketing
No, this isn’t something you purchase at Whole Foods. Organic search marketing is making your website more accessible to Google, Yahoo, Bing and the rest of the search engines. This usually involves a few tweaks to your website and a lot of link building. The quality of relevant links that are pointing to your website is critical to the placement of your website in the search results. The organic search results are the listings shown in the graphic below in the red box.

Paid Search Marketing (Pay-Per-Click)
Pay-per-click advertising is a way for your business to gain exposure quickly by paying for ad placement on Google, Yahoo, Bing, Facebook, and their partner sites. A partner site is a site like CNN that contains ads relevant to the content on that page. When a user clicks on the ad, the company that is advertising a product or service gets charged a certain amount per click. The cost per click varies greatly depending on your industry.

One of the main benefits of pay-per-click (PPC) is that your ads can be displayed very quickly so you can get started right away with PPC campaigns. However, PPC can be very costly if you don’t know what you are doing. Team Design can setup tracking and goal conversions and effectively determine whether your campaigns are worth the money being spent.

The placement of pay-per-click advertising is shown in the graphic below in the red boxes.

Local Marketing
Local marketing involves getting your company setup properly in Google Local (Google Maps), Yahoo Local and other local directories.  This is important since most people who search online are looking for a local company rather than a national company so you should be sure that you are setup properly.

Social Media Marketing
Social networks have been making a lot of noise the past few years and you shouldn’t be ignoring Facebook, LinkedIn, and others as part of your online marketing efforts.

Public Relations (PR)
PR and internet marketing go hand in hand these days and Team Design can help you figure out a PR angle for your company and get you in the news. We work closely with Boulder PR and other PR companies to get the most bang for your buck. PR not only helps you get exposure in the news, it also helps generate links to your website which will help your website achieve higher rankings in the organic search results.
